I did a quick PS of what it would look like with a drop, 19” ZCP Wheels, and Black Kidney’s:

How can you still say it doesn’t look better than the current 1 series?
You should be running their design department, seriously. Your PS modifications helped tremendously. Problem is, after market wheels and rims and suspension would be necessary at an added cost ($$), which defeats the purpose of a M-sport package from BMW. It used to be you would buy a BMW and it already had a perfect suspension, rims/wheels, power and design. Why cant BMW come out with a car that you don't have to modify once you get it. Why BMW, why?

A word of reasonableness here... although I myself was quick to post some initial criticism, I now notice that the car's profile is lower than the previous generation, it makes it more agressive, and the overall design looks more polished, and upscale. Besides I have never liked the current base 1 model - the M version I love -. So I reckon it just doesn't picture well. Better wait until I see the car in person.

Not me though.
I agree, it's like damage control, I never saw BMW bring the M-sport few hours after the first photos release of a new model,
I really can't understand how they approved this design

Did everyone notice how much better the front ///M bumper is compared to the weird-koala looking standard one ?

There is a nice line going on each side of the front grill, and that's really how the bumper should have been designed for the standard version (minus the bigger air vents at the bottom of the bumper...). It makes the huge front light much better in proportion, since there is less gap between the headlight and the grill... The grill looks a bit bigger ? Unless it's just a visual effect with the additional bumper lines on each side.

Way better in ///M Sport version... Quite like it... whereas I hate the regular front, and the ugly-weird front look... I bet they will change the front after 1 year... if not from the start, looking at how good the comments were after the official photos were released...

They defintely showed the ///M sport photo because of the critisism...

I know many view me as an annoyance but may I suggest doing as many photoshops of a future 1 series M as you can because clearly BMW need all the help they can get here. They haven't got the standard car right with regards to it's looks, I think we are all in agreement about that and though things are better with it's M/Sport package it's still nowhere near perfect, so I repeat myself in saying that it's up to you lot to show them how the next 1M must look.

Still shocked that these concerns about it's looks only arisen after it's press release, in my opinion questions need to be asked quite high up inside BMW as to who signed it off.

The M-Sport Packet was actually part of the release info , The X3 had it and so wil the F30. Although the 1er M-Sport does not arrive until March 2012.
The 3er will be September 2012.

They are in real life. You can actually see the surface detail.

Lightbulb E81 M-Pack vs F22 M-Pack

I've really changed my opinion about F20/F22!!! M-Pack is soooooo cool!!!

If the E81 is nice the F22 looks GREAT!
