Does any one have a photo showing how the warning triangle mounted inside cover panel in the boot of the F20? i would like to see the mount and how it is mounted.

Not got a photo to hand but here's a description:
The triangle is in a case. That case is towards the rear of the compartment (nearest the light cluster) and is in a more-or-less vertical position. there is a retaining strap that goes around the case about three quarters of the way up. A hole in the strap goes over a stud.

In front of the triangle is space for the first aid kit, towing eye and locking wheel nut bolt. I suspect whatever reinflation kit comes with non-run-flats will also fit in here as there is some space in mine.

At the bottom of the compartment is a black polystyrene block which has been shaped to house the various items.

Hope that helps you visualise it ahead of someone posting a photo.

Are you planning on breaking down regularly?
It is a BMW not a Lada

You are more likely to need the triangles due to other cars being in trouble (mostly accidents) than your own car.

This is my 5th BMWs and BWM do break down.

I had a E46, the fan belt broken while i was driving on a highway, engine immediately loss cooling (water pump was driven by the same fan belt), i kept driving for about 1km and eventually had to stop as the engine temperature reached to 150C and warning light was on. The warning triangle helped to warn other drivers on the highway while my car was stationary.

Later i found that the fan belt failure was due to a tensioner bearing failure, mileage was ~ 50,000km at that time.

I also keep a small fire extinguisher in my other BMW car(///M), as a prevention for myself and others unlucky diver.

Photo taken yesterday on the same highway that my E46 broke down.
