Which tires.

Hello i have a 2009 328xi coupe with upgraded 18in oem rims.(i was going for a m3 look) the do not have tpms in them so i will have to fix that but the tires are getting low and i will need to replace soon. I live in buffalo so i do get snow i was wondering if anyone has found any all season run flats, or if all seasons and the xdrive will be enough i have not gone through a winter with this car yet thank you!

well you live in buffalo...i am sure you have seen the snow. have you used any other vehicle in the snow up there?
i would recommend dedicated snow tires. it just gets too icy, and too snowy for reliable all seasons there. all seasons can get you through a dusting, or if theres maybe 3-4 inches on the ground. anything more is just slip and slide.
clearance is the other issue as well.

Don't go cheap with the tires. Buy a good winter tire, especially since you live in upstate New York.

yea any ideas should i get runflats? at 250 a pop its a big investment.

Blizzaks usually get great reviews here for snow tires. For summer, Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta are gaining popularity among members too for solid performance. I think, living in Buffalo, you're definitely going to need dedicated winters.

Since there are no all season runflats in the correct 18" size, you'll either need to consider winter tires or non runflat all season tires. For Buffalo, I would certainly lean towards true winter tires.

get winter tires! All season tires cant even get me through NJ winter but then I don't have xdrive.

alright just got back from the dealer looks like i have no tpms sensors so I'm set back 650 yuck looks like i have to either get 18" snows or 17" rims and winter tires thank you though
