The Weather Thread
I didn't see one of these so I though I would start one up. Post pics up if you get some crazy weather. We had some crazy weather yesterday so that is what sparked me to start this up.

Holy crap that flooded road. Worst I've ever seen was maybe 10 feet wide and a foot deep, nothing like what you had with what's basically a river there.

We have partly cloudy skies, so I can't see with my sunglasses on today. But there might be this funny thing happening tonight where water actually falls out of the sky. Oh, the humanity!!!

This was about 4-5 years ago, but it shows why "empty" sand washes are not the place to be when it starts raining in the desert:
The Agua Fria river here is actually flowing pretty good in this picture (about 2-2.5 ft deep at the deepest point), usually it is little more than a splash on the tires here. And after a day's worth of heavy rains in the mountains feeding into the river, this is not it's highest point which was 27ft deep (as measured at the USGS gauge just a couple hundred yards down river), but it was around 15-20ft deep when this picture was taken:

We at least still have turkeys (plural) We lost another one over the weekend. Wife says she is asking Santa to come over this weekend and get the last two into the freezer, quick.

We've been pretty lucky in South Florida for a while now after 3 hurricanes 10-11 years back. I hope it stays that way but the law of averages always comes around.
