The ability to hit a baseball is very tough and not enhanced by steroids. What steroids do is increase strength and reduce recovery time.

Take Barry Bonds - he was a hell of a hitter but obviously, his strength and longevity was enhanced by a foreign substance. Does he hit as many home runs without the substance help? Don't think so.
