Oh my god, this has been recorded just 5 miles from where I live.
I've been there in the past myself, but no recordings exist ;-)

This (abandoned/unused) military terrain is forbidden for the public. Sometimes military police shows up to chase people away.

Makes the video more special :-)

Seems to me like he has fairly good control of the sliding in the video.
I have spent some hours sideways with out 116i on an ice track, and I have to say that the car is quite easy to control. The turbo lag is more of a challenge than the fake differential brake.

I think he does good despite its open diff i see both wheels spinning so BMW has done a good job with the car.
But of course a good LSD is preferred.
