Keyless entry

Hi

Any keyless entry/comfort access solutions for our cars? I am dying to get one and cannot comprehend this is not an option on the F2x! You can get that on a Chevolet Cruze for God sake...

I was searching BMW UK homepage for this option but did not find anything. I can see it is also mentioned in the Owners Manual. I NEED this - hope it can be retrofitted

It's called comfort access.

I have it on my m135i.

It's a good gimmick.

They have a few lines on the handle where you touch it to unlock it I think.

You grab the handle to unlock it, and touch the ridges on top of the handle to lock and close the windows if you hold your finger longer on the ridges.

Thanks for the input guys. Next question - where to find a retrofit kit? Comfort access is options 322 btw.

Anything is possible it's just the cost involved that is the issue. As we have keyless go we already have half the bits in place you need at least door handles and antennae and possibly looms + coding. I'd love it too!

Possible? Yes.
Practical and cost effective solution? Unlikely.

Door handles in the correct colour, loom, recoding at the minimum plus fitting would be very expensive imo.

I've recently had a long term (4 week) courtesy car without this, and my usual car has it. It's now firmly in the "nice-to-have" camp, rather than the "essential-option" I originally had it in.

Personally, I wouldn't risk the security by playing around retro-fitting. If it was something like pro-nav then retro fitting isn't too risky, but if you're playing around with locks, it seems a bigger risk for something that's nice, but not essential.
