Anyone in OC mention Peter's Gourmade Grill?
If I'm giving no fucks; it's the Mushroom Swiss or I think the other one is called the Hurminator.

The greater Seattle area has Dicks Drive In. Been around since the 50's. Amazing Burgers and even better fries.

I think the meat is much better than shake shack. Thicker, more flavor and much more juicy
here is a comparison: 5 guys Shake Shack Hard to tell by pics alone but i think five guys notches out shake shack

Honestly 5-guys grosses me out by insisting on shoe-horning their burgers into an aluminum foil ball and squeezing them to strain all the grease into the buns.
It's just a pile of soggy bread and meat.

Anyone been to both Shake Shack and Burger Fi? They are almost identical to me, down to the trays they use to serve food.

so it's not just me..
We have 5 guys here near me now, first time I went, FANTASTIC !!! great burger, a mound of fries, and plastic cup. 2nd time I got it home I was so pi$$ed, it was soaked in grease, I'm assuming they left the buns for a while and all the greese soaked into the bun. as it was out of there prime time. NOT going back there, especially as the price of the burgers are like $15 bucks for a burger combo |

Not sure if it has been mentioned here or not yet but my favorite place in my area is called B-Spot. Burger joint started by the iron chef Michael Symon.

Del Taco
Double Del Cheeseburger Don't ask me why it's good, because it just is. I love Shake Shack, In-N-Out, Five Guys is okay, but I have a special place in my heart for the Double Del. And not the regular cheeseburger. That's crap. The Double Del. Another favorite of mine is Stout Burger The Morning After google image of it: Not too big, tasty, and the egg makes it over the top. Combo it with a pretzel with horseradish sauce and a pint of Old Speckled Hen and call it a day.

I like the del taco del cheeseburger as well. I'm a streaky burger eater, meaning I can go years without eating one, then get hooked. Tommy's is prolly my fave burger joint though.

Bob's used to be good, decades ago. The only ones' I'm aware of now are one somewhere here in Los Angeles and one on the way to Las Vegas. It not the same thing, although it's been over 5 years since I've gone. Seemed more greasy than the ones I remember decades ago.

5 guys
Double Bacon with extra mayo, extra cheese, grilled onions, reg onions, jalapenos and hot sauce. The hot sauce is a MUST! Ive lost count of how many people Ive turned into 5 guys lovers with the combo. In n Out 3by3 with whole grilled and chile peppers is a close 2nd.

I don't eat fast food. never tried mc, burger King and other crap. It's so bad for you. Anyhow I am a big fan of the good burger. Usually make my own from fresh beef from local farmers market. Just slap some pepper jack cheese, local tomato and lettuce and fresh jalapeƱos . can't beat home cooked food.
Almost forgot... a few years ago here in Florida place called the"heart stoppers" was open near me. looked at menu once they had a 2lb burger with ton of cheese and bacon |

^^ Idk, lately we've been honing out skills and i don't perceive much of a difference between what we get out and what we make at home. Most of the time, i prefer home made.
I'm 100% on that statement when it comes to desserts or baked good. Every once in a while i'll buy a cookie out when it looks awesome. But even when it's good, it's not really comparable to what the wife bakes. But with regards to a good burger, there is a new place that opened up near us called Black Rock. It's a chain, but i think there are only a few locations. We've been 4 times and the burgers have been great each time. I've been getting the 1/2 pound angus with a fried onion ring, bacon, pepper jack cheese and BBQ sauce. (on the side) Their fries are really good and they have sweet potato fries which the wife likes.
