I was sitting at a light one early one morning, maybe 3am, after hanging at the local street races. Happened some where around 1989.

I saw a police car with lights on hauling ass up behind me. My peripheral vision caught some other lights from the right. Another cop with lights flashing coming from the road i was waiting to cross.

With the light red, the cop from behind me blasts through the light. Yet only seconds before the cop from the right went sliding around the corner to travel in the same direction as i was headed and the previous cop was going. About 2 blocks up the road the both of them seem to be trying to get into this parking lot as quickly as possible, with lights on. After the light turned green, i could see that they were both casually getting out of their cars in the 24hr Dunkin Doughnuts parking lot.

Honestly, if I was a cop, I'd abuse my power in similar fashion. And I'd be the first to flash my badge if I was pulled over for speeding while off duty too.

When I first started driving the police in my area use to hang out at the local HoJo's restaurant and would be there most nights. Usually they parked in the back of the building so passerbies would not see them hanging there. A friend of mine worked there as cook and they use to go out the back and mess with the patrol cars. They usually would piss on the wheels and kick the doors on the passenger side.

I've seen this happen about 20years ago when I lived in Australia. Only it was just one cop, and broad daylight.
