The V1 tone is ear piercing to me. There have been times cruising down the road I jumped a bit when it went off.

Do you guys think that the added features in the 360 make it worth the price? I had a V1 about 4 years back and it's for sure no frills straight to the point. But I think it still a good value.

I'm pretty on the fence about what I want to get.

I use the Blendmount for my 9500ix, I hope it'll fit the Max 360. I read that it would fit but the GPS is a bit janky since it sits right where the Blendmount holster is, but I'm sure it should be fine.
Blendmount told me I would need a $70 adapter to go from a 9500ix to a Max. (https://store.blendmount.com/blendmo...uc4-p1957.aspx) That is part of what made me hesitate with the Blendmount - it seems very vehicle and detector specific. I have a 9500ix I might want to upgrade to Max at some point and my M4 is leased so hard to invest in the Blendmount.

When I drive in the D.C. and its suburbs, I prefer the Escort, primarily because it knows where the stationary radar is. My Escort -- Passport Max -- doesn't have the arrows, and I always wish I had them. On long road trips, I prefer the V1.

To me, the Escort 360 would be worth it were I buying now. As I already have a V1 and P-Max, I'm not going to replace either with a 360. The reason I won't do that is because for as much as I miss the arrows, when I drive around D.C., it's not that big a deal to just slow down when the P-Max goes off, even though I don't know from where the radar signal comes.

All the best.

I'm waiting for a few reviews before I place my order. I don't have a radar detector, and I'm thinking now is the time to get one with the new car!

Well, there are already biased reviews on RadarRoys site.

I'm waiting for my enthusiast forum to test one. Shouldn't be long and I'll post a link when they do test one.

The 360 Max is huge! I hope the longer term testing comes in favorably...I'd like to have the arrows of the V1 but also the features of a modern radar detector.

I want to see a solid review and the simple version for detector n00bs like me. I just want solid detection with few false alerts. I'm not too concerned about red light cameras and some of the fancy features, but if they are worth it... I'm willing to purchase.

Of course, I just don't "jam" as loudly with the P-Max, but I have to be thinking about it. Had a close call of sorts once when one of my favorite songs came on, I cranked the volume, and no sooner did I, the thing went off, and I happened to notice it visually. Just lucky.

All the best.
To be honest, I never paid that much attention until you said this, I have to agree the V1 has a tone to it which is unmistakable, I never once miss it going off. It is so annoyning that my wife hates the sound it makes in the car and most time she is hitting the mute before I can get to it and I have remote mute button. Again I think this comes from Mike's Military system background, it is that radar lock sound that all fighter jockies hate to hear.

That's quite a long read. I read some of it but not all of it. I did take away that Passport doesn't seem to have a product worth $649 + subscription costs, which is unfortunate but not surprising.

The biggest eye opener is that the Uniden (a detector I bought for $200) blew it away.

You can get a new V1 for $359 and with Yav1 you can do the same lock outs as the 360.

I'm still awaiting the 360 vs. V1 test and will post when available

I've resisted moving to any of the Max products thus far. I'm still using a 9500ix and I'm pretty happy with it.

9500ix solid GPS detector. Wifey used one for 6 years before switching to Max.

If you don't need arrows I would seriously consider the Uniden LRD 950

I think i'm leaning more towards the V1 now. I like the Escort's features but I think it may be overkill for me. Still would like to see some more reviews/testing. Hopefully more come out

Net, I don't care about a pretty OLED display or arrows, I care only about accurate detection from the greatest distance.

The thing I think is a gimmick with all these "New" Escort Radars is they never say the detection technology is now better than the older radars. For example, how do I know that this new fancy smancy $650 Max 360 radar is actually going to detect farther and better than my current 9500iX? That's simply not very clear in their messaging.

Then you'll need to get a redline and band segment it.

Bumping this thread. I just bought, but have not opened, an 8500 x50 and a 9500ix. Wondering if I should use either one or get a RedLine. I usually don't speed in cities so I'm not sure whether the GPS function is useful to me. I have heard greay things about the x50 as well as 9500ix. Please comment.

If you need two detectors, those are decent choices. The only thing they lack is gps, which is important to me, but might not be to you. If you want the best range and don't care about gps, you would be better suited with a v1 and or redline.

I only need one. I bought those two because they were on sale and my intention is to keep only one. Either that or return both and get something with more range. Between the x50 and 9500ix, I think I will go with the 9500ix even though it is 2x the money. Just unsure if I want to splurge for the RedLine. The Max 360 is the best of all worlds but the mediocre reviews and $649 MSRP are turning me off.
