Wow. I hope for Mercedes' sake that it's not going to look like that! :-)
The rear end looks horrible.

The other day I had the chance to see and drive the new A-Class in Barcelona, and it's definetly better looking than the one shown here.

Got to say that the one I tried (150 hp petrol - ¿A200?) had a really smooth drive and felt really good. Had the chance though to test it only in the city, but it look that it have strenght enough to move pretty quick. One thing if found pretty strange is the clutch (I tried the manual version - the blue one on the photos), it felt soft, really soft for a cluch pedal :S Maybe it's just a matter of geting used to it, but it did surprise me.

But what it's true, and what you can see in this pictures, that like the 1 series, it definetly changes a lot with/without the M-Sport or AMG kit in that case.
[Grey-AMG, Blue-stock]

Enjoy

you can see once again that Mercedes-Benz has completely deceived you in regards to the true incarnation of the car just as the A-Klasse concept and now the CLC being more realistic versions of the initial concept cars, in terms of accomodating more realistic measures such as headroom and production viability. When I seen the concept at Beijing in April I always felt that the car was too low and too sleek to make production as it was.

BMW are now hard at work on their rival , whilst one idea follows the same philosophy of a sleeker four door Coupe. The other is advancing a new idea for BMW - a kind of Coupe-esque Touring, fastback - think a Hyundai Veloster crossed with the classic 2002/1600 Touring.

Looks like a mini version of the CLS, which in my opinion is a good looking car.

My main issue with Mercs are the way they drive. Having driven many different models over the past two decades, they all ride well but don't offer anywhere near the driving dynamics that a BMW offers. Which is why, despite me thinking that the new A class is better looking that the 1 series, I have placed an order for a M135i.

Looks quite awkward. The hatch is much better resolved.

A fwd sedan... The prototype was looking much better...
I don't see good sale results for this car...
On the other hand the 2 series Gran Coupe will be RWD and for sure will have better dynamics and design
