It's F20 that's pictured, actually.
Quite more than that, IMHO: exhausting to browse. Has anything changed after you broke it in? My guess is they can't make full performance unavailable for safety reasons. |

I limited myself to "Comfort" when breaking in ("Sport+" ever since). When going on a motorway (under speed cameras) to pick up the license plates I did feel like testing the tech speed limit rather than the break in one (160 km/h) and nothing but desire to preserve the engine seemed to stop me. Imagine, it can be a matter of your life to speed up just right.

My 120i I drove slowly only the first tank, with many city driving for brakes, steering, suspension etc to break in. After that, 500-700km, imho, just normal driving softly pushing progressively even in sport modes until 1500km having plenty of fun under 5000rpm, and then full gas to the limiter if you wish. Just avoid hard flooring, kickdowns, hard braking and stuff until 5000km for the car to be well worn before the hard things, and even think if this hard is really needed. The fuel consumption progressively goes down with even more wear does good and the you reach the minimum of the cars life at some point. My car is 11000km now and I think the minimum is not reached yet.
