How many mms are those tips? They look gorgeous! It looks bigger than the normal aftermarket 90mm.

Rickk. Those pictures are amazingly beautiful. Wow what a drive that must have been. I'm so jealous.

Ps how are you finding the m p exhaust? I'm really tempted to buy one but just need some reassurance that the sound is much improved over the stock exhaust. How does it compare to say a mk6 Gti which I believe you previously owned as I did also. Thanks Martin.

Thanks for the compliments. None of the pics are from the Netherlands indeed The Alpine ones are from the Grossglockner Alpinhochstrasse, a mountain pass between Italy and Austria. Fantastic experience. Part of a trip around the Alps, there's some more info and pics in http://f20.1addicts.com/forums/showt...8#post14172478. Unfortunately just smartphone snaps as I left my camera in the first hotel

I'm happy with the M exhaust, but it mostly works on low revs so it's more for showing off in the car park than for anything else. It does that well though, I often get compliments in the car park What I personally like a lot is that it's a lot noisier at cold start which makes the car feel more special. It can also make nice pop or burble on downshifting.

In the midrange it still sounds dull though, compared to the Golf.

Thanks rickk. I think I shall have to upgrade to the m p exhaust then. Its still not available to purchase as yet in the uk. Time to start saving then!

Ps I can't remember the exhaust note on my mk6 gti being that fantastic tbo so not so worried about the mid range sound.

Here is my car. I'm aware of the fact that the 16" wheels are small. But coming from a MINI Cooper S, atleast for the moment I really appreciate the comfortable ride... Something has happened to me since I passed 30... Maybe they can house winter tires later on.

Thank you! Do you think that you still have some space for additional offset of the wheel? I'm considering to mount 8x18/ET40 from F30, but I'm not sure if they'll match into fender...

I am running 8x17et35 wheels, so that should be no problem unless you are going to run very fat tires.

I would use 225/40, both, front and rear. So the 8" wide rim with ET35 is still ok?

Yes. I use 205-tires, but there is plenty of room.
