Climate control not part of the M sport pack any more?

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
I've been looking into buying an F20 1-Series for a while now, and the last few days I've set my mind on taking the M sport pack with it. To my surprise, I found some inconsistencies in BMW's information. In the catalog I received from the local dealership climate control is mentioned as part of the M sport pack, but when I use the online configurator, it isn't.

I called the dealership to ask them, and they told me that climate control isn't part of the M sport pack and that I should take the Comfort Pack Plus to get it — which will cost me an extra €1000. I searched this forum afterwards and some of you guys clearly mentioned you got climate control as part of the M sport pack.

So my question is, did BMW ever communicate they would remove it from the M sport pack? Is it different in your country's online configurator (I live in Belgium)? Hopefully I can get some extra information from you guys so I can address it when I visit my dealership on Friday.

Thanks!

It's not included in the M-Sport Package in Belgium unfortunately. That's why I went for a Sport Line, because if it would've been included in the M-Sport Package it would have been really interesting to go for that.

Automatic Airco is only standard on the 125d and 125i in Belgium. If you combine the M-Sport Pack and Comfort Pack Plus you get the Comfort Pack Plus slightly cheaper though.

The standard equipment and extras of each pack are different to each country. In Greece for example we have totally different packages than Germany and UK (the countries I have checked).

In France Climate Control is std on M Sport. Since the border is not far, and you could buy from the other side, maybe there is some room for négociation?

Maybe the M Sport Package in Belgium is cheaper than in France/UK?

Prices of M Sport in Belgium are:

3650 euro on 116i,118i,116d,118d
3490 euro on 120d
2450 euro on 125i,125d

Thanks guys. It finally makes sense.

Well, they told they were going to contact BMW Belgium to address the matter, so I'm going to try and get an extra discount for pointing it out.

I'm still going for the M sport though. The difference between a Sport and M Sport on an 118d is only 660 euro. And Estoril blue is the only color I really like on the F20.

That's €1000 more expensive than in Belgium. So I don't think I'm allowed to complain about having to buy an extra pack worth €1000 to have automatic climate control

You need to compare not only the price of the pack, but also all the equipments that are included.

Also, as the Sport line costs about 1600€ in Belgium, and you say that the M Sport package is about 3600€, I can't understand where you find a difference of only 660€ between Sport and M Sport.

Same as Hong Kong. Auto climate control is a pick up option for any model. kinda sucks because this option is expensive.
I think it depends how the dealer deal with the BMW factory.
