z-p are made in China, I would avoid those, some other brands already had 19x9.5 45 and 19x8.5 et40 but for some reason it's difficult to find them. Do you think they could fit well?

Yes, front and rear are the same 8.5 ET35. I had 16" wheels and drowe about 10 kilometers from retailer to wheel shop. So I really can't give a good comparision report on the differences. 16" were butt fugly And drove like any butter tyres above 35 profile .

No poke. There is a lot of perfect fits on f20 with 19x8.5 ET 35. I was skeptik too. But took the risk aftet a lot of google research. Specially on german bmw forums.

fits great ! as I said, try putting schnitzer springs, you will be amazed, after I installed rear wing, and front lip, I went to the highway, boy it was a difference, I couldn't believem I also felt as if my car was much faster, and it looked much sportier, the originaol M-pack didn't bring the car up to my expectations.
Next thing will be eisenmann 4 pipe exaust, new wheels, and probably sat-nav - replacing the old screen to new one with sat-nat (in China arround 400euros), and at last probably hartge ginny pig.

No rub. Fitment is tight in front but do not hit the arch with hankooks. Some broader shoulder tyres could rub. I have uderstod that the AC Schnitzer springs are just re branded H&R springs? Those are in the short list for me.

There are not all that many companies actually producing springs, so most tuners are putting their name on a product made by somebody else. That does not mean that all the springs made by H&R are the same. The ones made for AC Schnitzer could be unique.

I think Eibach is producing springs for Schnitzer, as they said it will bring the traditional BMW driving feel.

While I drowe with m-pack I felt as if my car was on baloons, jumpy, I felt it was too far from the ground.

My mechanic even analyzed every curve, the Schnitzer springs had the same number of curves as the original M-pack springs, but the difference was that the whole spring was shorter, so the car sits closer to the ground, and it reacts completly differently to the road.

It preserves I would say 95% of the comfort, but being A LOTT more stable.

Comparing my tuned BMW to not tuned, it's like comparing not tuned BMW to Skoda.
I don't know how much difference is bringing front lip and rear wing, I can guess while I drove 190kmh it made difference.

So down below is a picture of my OEM M-pack springs

If the car feels jumpy, I would rather upgrade the dampers. I am quite happy with the M-Sport springs. Don't need them lower or stiffer, but the dampers are a bit softer now after 37000 km than when they were new. If you go for shorter springs, they need to be stiffer to not bottom out. That would definitely call for some stiffer dampers.

@ovekvam, Schnitzer made their springs in combination with M-pack dampers. I drove almost 30.000 km with M-pack springs, and didn't like it, but I would advise anyone to try Schnitzer springs in combination with M-pack. I actually didn't expect
that Schnitzer springs could bring so much difference, I expected some difference, but not so much of improvement.
Driving is quite different, and comfort is I could say the same.

I assume you mean sport suspension that comes with M-Sport when you way M-pack?
And when you way it is different, in exactly what way is it different? As in less underdamping? As in softer springs?

People have very different preferences when it comes to comfort and chassis setup. Some of my friends run coilovers with the dampers set to soft, and think it is comfortable. I think it is terrible. My idea of comfort is rather stiff dampers and softer springs.

As for chassis setup, some of my friends prefer very low profile tyres and sharp steering response. I prefer a more sluggish steering and a wide and predictable slip zone at the limit. I want the car to float slightly sideways over bumps without darting all over the place. The F20 M-Sport suits my preference really well here.

in my country, BMW sells F20 - F21

-urban

-sport 16inch wheels, some different aerodynamics

-M-pack 17 inch wheels, looks like F20 M135i, and 1cm closer to the ground, stiffer dampers, springs

So my car has M-pack with Schnitzer springs is much more stable, a lott more responsive to sudden changes of direction, I don't know do I imagine this, but feels like it has shorter stopping distances, and while driving fast, if coming to bumps, it doesn't bounce at all, I just have a lott more confidence in my car now.

Hello,

I am sorry for the late reply.

My car is going in and out of service for "steering wheel vibrate" which i had since day-1 and the BMW dealer does not want it to be included in warranty (they say i have fallen to a hole so hard that i have generated a failure on my steering servo but they can not answer when i ask them if how my front undercarriage is not damaged, not even my wheels. They have finally said "You have a point but we do not want to change it under guarantee" so i have sent mails to BMW Germany and awaiting answer. During the process, the car stays as "original" as possible) so could not put the 19" rims back on. The issue still persists so i am on std springs and wheels. Tho i see you have solved your problem.

Best regards

Syly, it does sound bad, some dealers just want to get rid of their obligations, after I bought my BMW 1 in 2013, after a few weeks, I egnited the engine and on the screen it said : "drive slovly, steering problem", I just turned the engine off, and on, and it was gone, it never came back, I guess I was lucky.

Did you had any rubbing issues with front wheels ?
Are your wheels 8.5 and 9.5 ?

The wheels are 8.5 and 9.5.

Front side rubs when the car jumps. It is not a big deal. Such jumps and rubs pushed the fenders just 1 mm and settled there. It is only noticable if you pay waaay too close attention to that area (none of my friends can understand it. And in order to understand it i need to check both sides quickly).

Bending some fender would and should do the trick.

When the car is back to normal (Still awaiting anwer from Germany) i will post pictures.

the wheels sit perfectly, I must say schnitzer springs and the alloy wheels have made biggest impact to the car stability.
