+1

Although I must say that the standard halogen headlights on the new 1 series aren't exactly dull candles.

They far out-perform my partners Ford Fiesta with projectors and make my last car (Abarth) look like it had two kiddies wind-up torches mounted in the bumper.

In the UK the option is £1300, which is a lot of money to stump up for something that should have been standard in the first place. Map reading lights are another example, as is cruise control and, well, the list is very long!

Thanks for all the input guys, much appreciated.

I went for Xenons without the other options/package, had to watch my budget and don't really need the rest of the options within the Driving Lights Package.

Well done, good choice. Would have opted for xenon and dipping mirror on own had they been available to order without the visibility pack in the UK. Auto lights are jolly useful though, adaptive lights are a tad of a gimmick. Main beam assist did work when I tried it on dark country roads, though always feel anxious in using in case it doesn't, so end up rarely using.

Xenons are a must
Dont worry about the adaptive side, washers etc (if it comes with them 'great', if not, you still have Xenons in the car)

The waiting time is the same as standard lights in the build process.
The light sets and harnesses etc are automated in the build process.
It is only if there is a shortage in an 'option' item that will hold up production times.

Your Dealer is just being lazy and does not want to redo the paperwork.

Please have him provide you with a copy of the revised order so that you can check that all the items you have asked for are included. Once you pass the close off date nothing can be changed or added.

Well done. IMHO, Xenons are a must for any new car and even more for a BMW...they enhance the look a lot. Amgel Eyes is a BMW trademark now and it is a shame to miss them. Plus, the visibility is so much better!

I've never spec'd a new car with Xenons in the past and regretted every time..... I've not made this mistake again with 125i
