Australian M135i pricing guide

Hey guys and gals have been lurking around here for a while on and off since captivated by a certain members 135i. Insert laughs here currently have a tdi passat family truckster which is coming up for it's sixth birthday so looking for something new. Must be five doors have some go and prefer manual after having a dsg. Have been tyre kicking M135i's for a while (should have taken up the free nav and auto offer) but have not found anything that piques my interest. Being a tight arse I am not fussed about buying demo / 2nd hand etc to save some $$$. This one on Car Sales has piqued my interest and has roughly $7k in options being:

Other option is to wait for A45 AMG but not convinced the sound can match the BMW straight six.

- Sunroof
- Heated Seats
- Business nav
- DAB
- Reversing Camera
- Met Paint.

People thoughts, or better to order and wait for a new one? I'm in no rush although extended warranty on the Passat has expired now so anytome could be more $$$...

Pretty good spec for resale, and I compute that's nearer $9K in options if you include LCT. With a little further negotiation, you'd be at 20% off the full new RRP.

Richard, don't do it. Have you seen how people drive demos on a car like M135i? Cold engine, rev the crap out of it.

Richard, I also sent you a PM on vortex. You can buy new close to this price, with the right leverage

Pricing on these, new, are coming down according to my local BMW sales guy. Impact of the market competition and their realisation that they launched too high, for the 135 anyway. Though he wasn't specific, perhaps as Tim says, leverage and you'll get a better deal.

Even though the 135i is the better car,
Hold off until the A45 AMG arrives, as your BMW dealer will drop the price on the new model and it will have more extras as standard.
Then you can trade in and barter the price

I think BMW dealers have already factored the MB A series in, including the A45. That's why they're talking turkey now.

Interesting on the leverage position, I have ALWAYS gotten at least 15% off new car purchase through being tough.....but on the M135i, here in WA, there is still more buyers than build slots, so they won't budge much at all....I got about 4% off RRP...

What kind of discounts have you guys managed to get (in terms of %..)?

Welcome Garwood!
There was no mention of "build slots" when I ordered mine (early Dec, with changes in early Jan). I believe there's at least 15% to play with on price, too. Might pay you to look east.

The available discount will vary depending on options - however, I negotiated just over 13% on my M135i. I'm sure I didn't get the maximum out of the deal, but I feel it's close enough for me to not worry about it..

Interesting.

I went a few options...

- 8 Speed Auto
- Professional Nav
- Electric seats with memory
- Adaptive M Running Gear
- Rear View Camera
- Front Sensors
- High-beam Assist
- Music interface

But yeah...only ~4%....and I don't get mine to September (next available build slot was July)...

Thought about going East but thought it may be a bit similar and even if it wasn't just a hassle with transport, etc.

Bugger. On my MY13 Discovery i got about 12%. I actually have a 116i (for Wife) now which I bought new last October (Dec delivery) and got nearly 17% off that....

Damn.

So true!

I drove the dealer demo M135i like I stole it. Have a nice pic of two black lines up the street out the front of a friend's house as proof.
