BMW standard bulbs change to Xenon bulbs?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I've been looking at these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/29106...f14=108&ff19=0 Could anyone please tell me if these will see a decent change.. and get rid of the annoying yellow "glow" And also is it as easy as taking the factory fitted ones out and popping the new ones in? |

Hi mate, I did the same thing, switched from the horrible halogens to whiter looking lights. I ordered mine from http://www.hids-direct.co.uk/.
I changed the day time running lights, side lights and main beams. These are the bulbs required: DRL - MTEC 380W W21W Super White Xenon Effect bulbs T20 7440 *Pair* Sides - MTEC H6W 433c BAX9S XENON SUPER WHITE BULBS SIDELIGHTS The main beams I ordered were off ebay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-H7-Ultra...item51ac53223b Oh and changing them are easy, turn the tyre and under the arch you'll see a flap, open that and swap them over. If you wish to change the DRL and the sides, its just the lid that unscrews if you pop the bonnet! Bhav! |

Will do later on, car is in at Sytner as I had a whining sound. Firstly they said its the disk rubbing against the pad, but the noise still occurred and they're changing the rear diff in a few days, as the parts on order!
Will post some pics soon. |

Just ordered the MTEC bulbs for my wifes F20. I ordered the same side and DRL's as the OP suggested but opted for the MTEC 'Diamond White' dipped and main beam H7's. Hopefully fitting them this weekend. Will let you know how they look.

Fitted osram H7 superbrights to main beam of my wifes VW 4 years ago
http://www.amazon.co.uk/OFF-ROAD-hal.../dp/B004UQUXW0 Higher wattage but OK for periodic use. Put Osram H7 nightbreaker Unlimited into the dipped [55w] used for more of the time. Vast improvement over std yellow-ish bulbs
