Yes no problem. I can compare it to a 118d which I've tried recently. But in Denmark the price difference is great between the two models.

116ED inc tax : 42.200euro
118d inc tax : 46.200euro

I'm still a little unsure if I should have chosen a F30 316d. But it costs 59.500 euro in Denmark and then I would be very close to my limit and not able to afford equipment.

The car I will try tonight is totally identical to mine, same color and equipment.

Sight Package: 1350Euro
Drive Comfort Package :2500euro

Congrats on your new 116ed. First I know of as well. How's the fuel savings on the ED?

Was a little busy yesterday so it was only a 15km test drive.

Now I am not accustomed to run in anything other than a 320i and a 316i. Compared to the E91 316i LCI as I drive on a daily basis feels 116ED definitely not slow.

It requires getting used to having various settings. There is a big difference on whether you are running in the ED or Sport mode. It is a little too lax and loose in the ED mode for my temperament, I do believe that a set of 18 or 19 inch wheels can make it more solid. It is a little too loose on the way, if you understand what I mean. I do not know if it´s the special tires that make it or the steering has is too slack in the ED mode. The 118d I tried a couple of weeks ago was better on the road but it also had 18 inch wheels. In sport mode the car was totally different tight.

Among the first things I noticed was that it is incredibly quiet, even when you give it a little work. Another thing I loved was that it had folding rear headrests. It gives a better sight at the rear.

In conclusion I love the car in Sport Mode. I am well pleased. and look forward to getting my sometime in september.

Hi guys!

Just a quick question about the 116ed....in terms of model designation at the back, does it simply say 116d or 116ed... or that clever little combination of the two that I seem to remember having seen somewhere?

Cheers! I'm very excited about this car....just ordered one through the new NHS lease scheme at work! Not got my delivery date yet. Probably gonna have to wait months!

Got nothin against you taking advantage of the lease system- but but way to go NHS for putting tax payers money into luxury car leases

What do you mean by second gear isn't great? Is it a tall gear, mismatched revs?

I'm guessing its because they figure it makes a difference for a particular driving style?
