Yes, even in first gear. In autoX, I drop at least half a second to the N/A cars in every hairpin cone. That is a ton of time in that sport.

You should change the topic to 1 like and 3 dislikes to make it less tempting! :-)

You cannot see the bottom??
I complain about not seeing the top. I have that problem in the F20 when test driving. Noticed it first in the E87 1-series.
I also have it in the Mini. But not much of a problem, I have learned to live with it. I easily see where the RPM dial is pointing, but cannot see the top numbers. Driving speed which is the important thing I have in the center console and also in the middle of the RPM tach, so easy to see both. (I use the digital speed 80% of the time.)
I think F20 3-series are a better, but not perfect.
I like the driving position in the 1-series tough..

I've had my car only for 2 weeks now but here it goes..

Likes:

1. Engine + ZF 8spd : so smooth and effortless.
2. Xenon package : Love the look and all the automatic stuff (variable light distribution, high beam assist and turning lights)
3. No rattle so far! (touch wood) : Especially great since I'm coming from vw gti, that was a rattle box.

Dislike

Run flat tyres: I have Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2, not sure if other brands are any better.. may have to go non run flat.

The 3er has a thinner steering wheel than the 1er M Sport so there is more visual space through it to see the dials.
I recently had a new 3er hire car in Cape Town. I an now even more happier that I bought the 1er. It is far superior in it drivability and I prefer the thicker wheel even if it obscures the dials a little. My theory is that when you are driving flat out you are not looking at your dials.

So you had a few rattles in the Golf GTI hey. Good to know as I'm torn between the 125i and the new GTI about to be released

So much to like about the car! I'll go for the following:

- Noise! I love it! I grin pretty much all the time driving the car, and find myself turning the music volume down!
- Various driving modes. Each is really different it's great to be able to change the cars character to how you want to drive.
- Seats and driving position. I know a couple of people have put this as a dislike, but I find the seats excellent (adjustable bolsters are a highlight) and the driving position for me is infinitely better than it was in my A3.

Dislike:

- Fuel consumption. Easily outweighed by all of the above, but takes some getting used too having come from a 2.0 diesel.

My car is a F20 118i

I like:
- the sound of the Turbo-Wastegate-Dumpvalve-Exhaust.
- the handling in corners and the "Wheeee...I'm a mosquito feeling".
- Being able to imitate Jeremy Clarkson and Tiff Needell when the traction control is switched off.

I dislike:
- the rear parking senors won't stop beeping.
- the price of petrol.

Mine is a 118i auto.

Likes;
1. Transmission : Smooth and almost as fast as a doubleclutch
2. Engine : 1.6L and 170hp underrated, some dynos measure stock 190+ hp. 250-300 nm lowend torque is V6 stuff
3. Adaptive chassis (I don't have it, but people say it's worth its price.)
4. Driving position. adjusted it low and gave it a bit of pitch. It feels just right.
5. Perfect balance, gradual transition from grip to drift
Dont Likes;
1. Noise isolation, especially wind noise over 90 kph.
2. No flappy pedals, c'mon BMW how much could it cost?!
3. Seats a bit small, and this is coming from a 1.82 guy.
4. Radio reception sucks

£110 but only offered on the 120d, 125i and 125d autos.

Standard on the M135i Auto.

On my car I have a button on the center console that can turn on/off the parking sensors and beeping.
