I have the 7 plus which isn?t supposed to be fast charge capable but only quick charge which is slightly slower. It does seem to charge faster with usb c however so I was wondering what your experience is.

I believe fast charge and quick charge are essentially the same thing just words are trademarked by certain brands or trying to differentiate themselves thru marketing.

I had a 7plus and now an 8plus and they both charge way faster than the oem plug provided from apple. I am using an anker powercore+ 20100mah usb-c power bank. The usb C part is only to charge the powerbank and then use the apple wire to fast charge my phone. Its one of the fastest charges on the market with a 2.4A charger, most are only 2.0A.

The new wireless charges are supposedly super slow, slower than the oem cord but I can't test that cause my arm rest wireless charger doesn't fit the plus phone, dumb design. They said an update with the phone of all things will make charging faster but won't be out to late next year. Time is money charge that bitch up fast!

iPhone 7 will charge a bit faster with the 12W iPad charging brick vs. the 5W it comes with. the iPhone 8 comes with fast charging, which needs the lightning to USB-C and 29W+ USB-C power adapter. the differences between the two isn't that great. I believe the iPhone 8 with the 29W brick reaches 50% 15 minutes faster than a phone powered by the 12W. It's up to you whether the prices differences are worth it. I already have a 12W adapter and dont feel the need to update it.

Iphone now is getting cheaper. I believe.

Iphones dont have fast charge yet until they release a later update with ios11. I do notice it charge faster with my anker tho but it seems to make the battery drain faster on usage as well. Makes you always carry your power device but worth the extra speed. I dont get how an update with ios can up the speed of the charge and not the internal hardware itself. Oh well , hopefully the update comes sooner than later!

Wonder if 11.1 includes the update. It will be slightly faster but with the update not night and day faster
