Black Contrast Roof on F20 yet?
Has anyone gone down the [contrast] black roof look yet on their white cars?
The F20 doesnt quite have the F30/F10 lines to pull it off but the F21 just might look the business in contrast roof in black #JustSaying |

It wasn't/isn't. But thats like a 15 minute aftermarket job. On a white car I might have considered it, but I don't see a reason to cover my valenica :

I have a Mineral White F20 sportline on order, with burnished grey alloys, to be delivered next week so was wondering what it would look like.
The 3-series/1-series coupe have the swooping lines that make the contrast roof look great. I think you could get away with it in the 3-door F21. Not as convinced that the lines of the 5-door F20 would suit the contrast roof, especially at the rear. I am open and willing to be proved wrong. |

The roofline of the F20 and F21 are the same. Its the same chassis just with a moved B-column and 2 doors less. Not sure what "different lines" you're talking about.

Does it matter, really?

It doesnt matter frankly. point is the pictures we have seen that look good appear yo do so more on the coupes than saloons / hatchbacks. And all I am wondering is if anyone with a 5-door hatch F20 has gone down this route? |

People already thought so with the E87 / E81, one E81-driver even offered me a bet on that - which he lost 2 minutes later when we parked our cars next to each other.
I can not claim that I have seen a F21 irl yet or compared it to my/any f20 directly, but from the pics its 1:1 the same outline, just like with the e8x.

talk me out of it now or hold your peace
Seriously considering getting a contrast black roof wrap on my Mineral White car, if o think that's NOT a good idea, this is a good time to talk me out of it, brother!
Has anyone seen an actual car or mockup render of a black contrast roof on the F20/F21? |

I have the 17" burnished grey star alloys standard on the Sport line.
Car will be delivered next week but has arrived at the dealership - took a sneak peak - now awaiting my private plates, Supaguard paint protection, window tinting and the kidney grill swap before deliver. |

The best way to find out how it will look is to get a Car tint detailer to put the 3M black wrap foil on yours (gloss black foil) or a carbon fibre look (not)
You than decide if it looks the business, leave it on for the 5+ years. If it looks crap, it can be easily removed without damaging the paintwork. |
