Ordering an F21 M135i

Update: have ordered (see here)
Update 2: took delivery on the 17th

I'm talking to my dealer about ordering an F21 M135i.

I'm considering getting a set of 405 alloys for it. Is it silly to suggest I would like these fitted in the factory rather than take delivery and retrofitting them? And that in not getting the standard 436 alloys I could just pay that iddy bit extra? It seems silly to buy them afterwards and pay ~£1900 just to end up with a spare set of alloys in the garage. Seems wasteful to me.

Reversing camera: I'm tempted but I've survived two years without it on my current F21 and there haven't been that many occasions I've wished it was there (I have sensors).

I love the alcantara seats in my current car but have no option but to get leather in the M135i. Yes, leather is cool but the alcantara seats are the one thing anyone getting into my car comments on... and it does feel special. I'll miss those.

Electric seats with memory?

I really want the 8.8 inch screen *sigh*

Test drive on Wednesday

Use the stock wheels to put winter tyres on?

The 405's are a dealer accessory. You won't be able to get them from the factory.
They sell at a pretty decent rate, so you might use that cash for some aftermarket mods?

I wouldn't spend the money on electric seats on such a sporty car. Just buy some cool accessories

I would (almost) have paid extra to get all manual seats - I never understood electric seats. And yes the alcantara is awesome, why is that not an option for you?

I hate not having Comfort Access - especially here where its so humid and hot. That key feel glued to my pocket.

The advantage with electric seats is that they have a memory feature that can adjust them quickly to several individual users. Apart from that, manual seats are definitely better in my opinion.

When we bought the F20, alcantara seats was a fixed requirement. We were fed up with leather seats.

You can have the key in your pocket even without comfort access.

Rear camera is standard on M Sport. The only reason for me is safety from running over a small child and it is becoming standard on cars in New Zealand. I think it will help for resale later as more people will expect a rear camera. It should be standard on all new BMW's.

If you have two driving the car then electric seats are good.

To be honest I don't get why but it seems BMW varies choices country by country. Here in the UK we're not able to configure a 135i with alcantara and when I complained to the dealer they just shrugged. Be nice to have leather for a change I guess

I tend to agree. Besides, there won't be anyone else driving the car so other than being cool for the passenger it felt pointless. The passenger seat doesn't get memory does it?

I like both but considering the passenger seat is the one that changes all the time it doesn't bother me so much. I quite like the manual
