Sneak peek at my M-Sport 120d

I get my 120d on May 3. The car has already has arrived, so I took a sneak peek in the dealers back yard the other day. The car is fresh from transport, and not washed or prepared. One of the things they will do is putting on the M-Performance twin pipe exhaust tip.
I must say the car looks really good, so I can't wait getting the key

I'll post better pictures as soon as I can lay my hand on the car

Do any mods need to be done to the rear diffuser in order to fit the M Performance twin exhaust tip?

As far as I know they have to cut out the relevant space in the diffusor. I've been assured that it is professionally done

Are BMW providing the exhaust tip and doing the work on the diffuser? I am taking delivery of a 118d MSport in May and want to do the same thing. How much is it costing?

It is a BMW M Performance part that the dealer can retrofit before delivery. Here in Norway the price is app. NOK 6000, around GBP 600. The larger part of it is labour cost (which is ridiculous, but I am sure you get it cheaper in Britain).

You'd think, but at £100 per hour, it won't be much different.

Sweet ride, cannot wait to see the finished product!

Thank you guys. I've downloaded the drivers manual and already read it from A - Z. Surprisingly much of it is well known from the F12, so it was a piece of cake

I am very existed about the driving, since I only tested a 120d very short before buying. I almost regret not taking the Estoril colour, but I also love black!

I ordered in the beginning of February. The dealer offered delivery within 2 weeks after starting producing the M-sport option. Which would have been beginning of April.
But I settled the delivery date myself, since May 3. suits my own financial planning

If it's feasible, I would consider adding on the M performance brakes since they're going to do some exhaust work also...

Hi,

I´m Lucas from Spain.

I have just ordered a new F20 118i M Sport metallic black and I want to know which interior look the best in your opinion: Aluminium Hexagon with estoril blue interior trim finisher, or grinding aluminum with shiny black line? I have to decide it this week...

Thanks
