New 6 series F12/13 spyshots

Hi,

found this one...by the way: back-windows is just fake. Beneath the back-window of this prototype the same vertical standing window as on the current 6 series cabrio can be seen (not on the foto).

On the other side, there is this huge crack separating the trunk lid from the rest of the body on a side-location - that would lead us to a cabrio-coupe (softtop normally don't need such a crack at the side - compare current crack-location at the e64-softtop-cover)

So I'm not sure...how about a F12 regular softtop cabrio and a F13 hardtop cabrio-coupé version?
That also could explain the unusual release-schedule F12(cabrio) first, F13(coupé) second. Would make more sense if "cabrio = softtop" and "coupe = hardtop cabrio-coupe".

But this is pure speculation...just don't know anything!

Have fun with the pics, tho...

I hope its still a softtop. I hate hardtops. Hardtops are just verts trying to be coupes. Although I like the shape of the old 6er's top. Very nice, wish theyd kept that.

I am more interested in the engine. Really would love to see the V10 bumped up NA with M-DCT. I am sure we will get M-DCT but may end up with V8 Turbo which is sad to me.....Steve

It is clear by the trunk lid lines that it is set up for a folding hard top.

Or coupés trying to be verts. But in the end a hardtop cc is neither fish nor fowl. I am more worried about the shape of the panel. Why are they still using the double bubble?

If you're talking about the dash I bet that is just a cover up. We saw a similar thing in interior photos of the upcoming F10. They had an extra hump over the NAV screen but it was clearly made of foam or something. I think that is just a diversion. They seem to be going away from the double hump, X5, X6, F01.

I hope so. But I cannot figure it out 100 percent by those pics. God, I hate those double bumps.

still...these pics show nothing at all....I really dont care about the soft hard top issue , that doesnt matter , what matters is how good the car will be in general and most important an M version that can go head to head and beat the E class coupe AMG.
btw I hope the car gets bigger and stronger also , those things are important

I don't see that much difference compared to the current E64:

So my bets are still on a soft top.

Best regards, south

it's a hard top.

the roofline is going to look good.

It doesn't have a conventional retracting sunroof like the E9x-series so it will look more like the SL roofline, which is nice.

I am looking forward to it.

Hopefully the transmission is smoother and they make this more of a GT car.

pictures are a bit small... but the car in the top left of the second picture looks just like that 5 series concept from that other thread.
