They don't stfu about how fast their E55s, SL65s, whatever, are, in a straight line.
Yes, although there is truth to it. Those things will snap your neck back. Hell of a fun car to WOT.

LOL, I don't know of anyone who actually bought a newer AMG. I have several friends who leased several 55's and 63's and they frequent the dealerships more than they would like to.

The thing to me about newer Benz's to me is that it's only 'cool' if you have the latest model. Look at say, the S500 and CL500, they look so outdated now, while the older 7 series and the older LS still have a classic look to it.

I'll take a stab in the dark here. I think its because BMW is worried about the resale value of its products. Its just about common fact that BMW's as a whole demand more $$$ used than Mercedes or Audi. Go look at a used AMG or 600 products online. They are marked down about 30-40k after the first year and half usually. Its quite disgusting. Mercedes dosent seem to care though. These mark downs have been occuring waay before the current economic crisis too.

If you're dropping $180k on a car I don't think maintaining its upkeep is really a concern...

The way I look at it, if I'm dropping $180k on a car, it better not be a piece of shit.
