That looked fun. You're using the paddles for shifting, right? I use mine for engine braking once in a while, but I haven't done anything close to track driving. I'd imagine that with 8 gears, it might not be easy to change down into the correct gear when braking into a corner.

Doesn't the car rev match automatically on these cars? And it will not allow you to over-rev a downshift, so you just hit the paddle and leave the rest to the car.

It is a little more tricky for us with manuals, as we need to use three pedals at the same time with only two feet. I sometimes double declutch the downshifts as well, just to get that extra smooth feel when it slips into gear. It takes a lot of practice to get it right while rev matching and braking for a corner.

Yes, the box won't shift down unless it can actually shift down.
So no over-rev possible.

Also if you're hitting the rev limiter (too long) it will upshift.

But still, you can shift down and use it for slowing down.
It's not as much as with a manual but it's usefull in traffic or something. I do it often for not using my brakes on my daily drive to/from work in heavy traffic.

looks real good to me , handles nice and lots of grip & punch. How did you get on with the Ediff help or hinderance ? looks like it wasn't doing anything to reduce power

It seems to go ok on track I only did about ten laps that day so didn't get chance to try things, but it seems quick enough and got plenty of grip,if you are doing plenty of trackdays maybe fluid and pad change and more camber at the front!

It would be good fun in the wet as it is
