Anybody uses iphone with a Nike device?

I have a watch/chest strap Nike Triax C3 to monitor my heartbeat (not distance/speed) when doing cardio and an iphone 3GS. Are they supposed to work together?

There is a Nike configuration in my 3GS.... I can't make it work.

Anybody tried a Nike device on it?

The app on the iphone is for hte nike plus feature. Little pod that goes in the bottom of your shoe, only monitors amount of strides per workout, therefore distance, calories, etc. Personally, I feel the iphone is too big to wear when running so I stick with my nano, and use the iphone in the car or office.
