1 series sport

Has anyone noticed the dsc flash on and of for a split second a couple of times e eryday is this normal or electric fault.

Not got that model but I'd be tempted to check the tyre pressures are correct. The monitoring system on the car is checking for differences in the rate or rotation across the axles so if they go down together it won't alert you. An incorrectly inflated tyre would reduce grip and that could lead to the dsc cutting in.

The warning light will come on briefly if you drive at the limit, and the car does a correction. Otherwise I haven't seen the light on.
With winter tires, the car does not have to be pushed much to think it is sliding.

basically its when your wheels spin
but I have also seen this when you are going through some bumpy road, or if you go through multiple speed bumps that are placed close together

You can also have it come on when driving over unever ground where one of the rear wheels disconnects from the road for a split second. big Potholes can also do it.

Cheers it makes sense now the roads in edinburgh are all pot holed with a lot of bumps.
