its worth the 30 bux to get a legit key.

The legit copy can be used with the same illegal bypass so it doesnt matter where u download the windows copy from.

like he said, a 30 dollar legit upgrade would be a much safer bet...

that being said...

read the comments in the torrent first. if a lot of them say 'virus', etc., then don't download it. if it's nothing but thousands of 'works great', etc., then you've got yourself a legitimate winner.

i've been running torrent win 7 since 0-day. i haven't had a single problem with it and nod32 hasn't found anything. in fact, all OS's i've ran for years have been torrents with great results.

also, i've found some bad torrents on piratebay, although most are legit, but i've never found a bad torrent on demonoid.

wait, so is this just an upgrade, meaning you must already have windows installed??

Can I install Vista, then install Windows 7 through this?

Can I just buy this and install Windows 7??

Thanks in advance...

yes you can...to everything...

What I ended up doing was, I still bought the legit copy for $29 because I was scared

Then I upgraded my desktop from vista to 7 wit legit key and file that I bought and downloaded thru win741.

For my notebook with XP (which was ridden with like a billion kinds of viruses, spyware, trojans from 4 years of downloading porn). I used the same install folder (the 1 I bought so I know its safe) burn onto a disc, so I did a disc install on the laptop. But because you can't do an upgrade install from XP to 7 (I wouldn't want to anyway with all that spyware on there) I just did a custom install which deleted everything and did a clean install, which is fucking sweet. set it up without product key and windows will give you 30 days to get a key.

For the key.
Click on Blake's link and download that torrent. BUT, don't download everything, you don't need to download those 2 actual windows iso (1 32bit and 1 64bit) they are both 2.XX gb each so shouldn't be hard to miss. uncheck those and download the rest which should be really really fast.
Once done look for this folder called Windows 7 Loader 1.6.9 by Daz
inside execute the program called windows 7 loader, follow onscreen directions and you will have a genuine set of windows 7 in no time.

Of course, you can always download the actual windows program from Blake's link if you don't want to buy, but just know that you can't upgrade from 32 bit vista to 64bit 7, unless you are running 64bit vista already, you have to do a custom install if you want 64bit 7 (means you will have to back up your data as it will erase everything). I just did the 32bit 7, not worth the trouble for me.

Good luck, post here if you have questions.

from what I gather from my nerdy friends, downloading an OS on torrent is like buying a house from a shady contractor. It looks feels just like a normal house and you can add all kinds of crazy security doors and windows afterwards. But the builder can always get in your house thru a secret trap door they built into the house when it was been built and you will never know its there until its too late.
I am sure most are fine esp with alot of positive comments but my understanding is that root back doors that are custom built into an OS install file is really hard to detect by antivirus. So in the end, I think $29 is worth it for me for a piece of mind I guess.

Close, and I know what you are trying to say. Mac OS X is Unix, and has been certified under the Single Unix Specification since 10.5. At its core is Darwin, a BSD derivative, as I'm sure you already know. The GUI they designed for it is called Aqua. I'm really writing this more for the benefit others than you as I'm sure you know. I know what you meant to say, but it didn't come out quite right. Also, FWIW I use zsh and not bash. Here is my .zshrc:

Code:
osx ~ % cat .zshrc
HISTFILE=~/.histfile
SAVEHIST=8192

fpath+=~/zfunctions
typeset -U fpath
autoload ~/zfunctions/*(:t)

prompt="%m %c %# "
watch=all
logcheck=8

autoload -U compinit
compinit
zmodload -i zsh/complist

zstyle ':completion:*' menu select

setopt append_history
setopt auto_cd
setopt correct
setopt extended_glob
setopt extended_history
setopt list_packed
setopt no_beep
setopt no_clobber
setopt no_hup
setopt print_exit_value

unsetopt bg_nice

bindkey -v

zle -N insert-sudo-prefix
bindkey '' insert-sudo-prefix
Bottom line is that although funny, Windows should have been the bowling pin in that picture, but there are too many people who wrongly think OS X is nothing more than an OS for neophytes. I find it funny that the Windows crowd tends to mock Mac users and the grounds that their OS of choice is overly simplistic. In reality these people don't have a clue what they are talking about.

So here is a message to all Windows users that mock Mac users on the grounds that they are "n00bs". Do yourself a favor and STFU until you know what you are talking about.
