Rear wiper delete
Has anyone removed rear wiper from f20? How did you cover the hole?
I think deleting rear wiper would give much smoother and cleaner look for the rear end. |

I don't see why you would want to remove it. There only needs to be a hint of moisture on the road and the rear windscreen gets soaked haha

Had to use a the car with a broken rear wiper for 2 days in rain. Absolutely zero visibility after 10 minutes of driving

One of my gripes with the F20 is how much dirt and water it sucks up onto the back screen. IMO, you should keep the wiper to ensure you have a basic level of rear vision for maneuvering

Personally I don't use the rear wiper, it's a pet hate of mine seeing the line between what has wiped clean and what's still dirty. (strange I know) but I'd rather it all be dirty. If you use a product such as RainX then visibility remains fine without use of a wiper. Getting rid of it is something I've always thought about doing but with the wiper being part of the boot lid the hole cant be easily covered without going to the body shop. Unless of course you use a grommet or bung but that wouldn't look too neat.

Wow! RainX is a pretty good product, but I've found it's simply not up to the task of keeping the rear screen with any level of visibility on our roads.

Haha every time I hear the word delete used to describe removal of something, I laugh out loud. It's as though you're implying you can simply hit the backspace key and said item is gone.
I agree with you here! I only use it if I really really really have to. But it's there if I do need it. Safety and practicality first |
