125i M Sport and loving it to the max

Hi all
Finally my F20 125i M Sport in beautiful Estoril Blue is here.

I have just got home after driving my new toy around for the past hour or two. A bit of Highway, a bit of mountain road and around town.

In a word 'fantastic'.
I took it a bit easy as it is new, however it is very obvious this has some grunt and handles well.

I will review in a day or two with a few more k's on the clock

I have posted a few quick pics

A lot of you guys are going for Estoril Blue... almost makes me question my choice of alpine white color!

Nice pictures! Estoril Blue used to be my favourite BMW color until they came up with Valencia Orange. Being complemtary colors, they happen to look very good together.

Great pictures.... especially like the first picture with the very appropiate "JOY IS HERE" poster.

So I guess the car does come with the ///M performance badge on the back with the 125i in Australia.....?

I like the addition of the /// M performance side sill prints.

If you've got it flaunt it

Ps great to see a car on here with the steering wheel on the correct side!

The black side skirts look great. Are they standard with M sport or additional M performance parts?

Additional M performance parts, at least in Europe. They're just stickers which go on the standard M Sport sill.

You can also add another small flap below/on them in the body color, to make it look more like an intake and optically lower the car again, but I think I like AusF20's look better.

Nice pictures! Can't wait until my joy is here!

Congrats and great looking car!

I passed on a 125i for a fully optioned 118i as I live in Sydney and I figured I'd use the options more than the extra power the 125i gives.

I do think about it from time to time though... let us know your full thoughts soon!

I've been poring over these pictures time and time again..... I really think the m-performance side sill's look good especially on a car with the m performance brakes as mine will also.

So there now added to my list of things to do when I get mine, which are:

- M Performance Exhaust
- M Performance Carbon Mirrors
- M Performance Exhaust
- M Performance Pedals
- M Performance Side Sill's
- M Pertormance Black Gloss Kidney Grill (on order will be fitted to my new car for collection)

Just don't tell the Mrs

I'm quite confused... Is the M Performance Exhaust a complete exhaust system or just the tips? I always thought it was just the tips.

Maybe AusF20 can verify?

Right now this is the best looking F20 I've seen.
To improve it it would need some lowering, be the 3 doors model and a quad exhaust.

For the 125i there's a complete backbox available.
For all other models there's only the tips.

It is a hard sound to discribe, The M Exhaust sound is a bit like the note you hear from an Italian V12 (softer; as it is being pushed out with a lot less volume) more of a wail than a growl.

Not realy noticable until you get the revs up above 4500rpm.

Good if you want to get up and go without letting every man and his dog know for miles around.

I do like the sound it makes when you have the 'sport' digital display go all the way to the stops on both dials.

Max horses, max torgue and the wail through the gear changes in 2nd, 3rd & 4th. Not that I would do that (unless there was a tunnel or two to traverse).

Did I tell you we now have more than 12 kms of tunnels under Brisbane, unfortunately most have tolls and speed cameras in them.

Have you got the m performance exhaust on yours then? Can't quite see from the pictures? Looks like the standard 125i one to me?
