Are Stainless Steel Brake Lines worth it?

I have been looking at ECS Stainless Steel Brake Lines and I was wondering if you can really feel a difference with them or is OEM all that is needed. I know manufactures will make claims but it is the customers who have purchased such items that really counts.

For those of you who have stainless steel brake lines installed please give me your impressions.

Thank you!

They provide better pedal feel and feedback so IMO they are worth it when upgrading the rotors and pads.

Ive installed 5 sets of ss lines on other vechicles and under normal street driving I could not feel any dam difference also the owners said the same thing. More of a placebo effect if anything. A brake master cylinder brace (counters firewall flex) made a hugh difference but i dont think they make them for our cars.

Stainless steel brake lines improve pedal feel and reduce the amount of time between applied pedal pressure and actual deceleration by reducing the expansion that is allowed by stock rubber flex lines. This provides a quicker pedal response and allows the driver to maintain consistent brake pressure with precision brake modulation. In short, Stainless Steel Brake Lines will provide an immediate improvement to brake performance and pedal feel from the very first stop!

It's a fact with pretty much any car between stock rubber lines and stainless. It is basic physics. It's why you should run stainless if you do track days, the heat generated that causes the rubber stock lines to expand causes peddle travel. The stainless wrapping stops the lines from expanding with high heat.

People said they didn't notice anything because they probably weren't tracking their cars and putting hardly any heat onto the fluid/lines. Hence, you probably won't notice anything.

If they went out with both types, did about 10 80-0mph stops in a row, you would notice. But then again, if your pads and rotors suck....won't matter which lines you have, because they will fade and overheat since they aren't designed to handle that. It is why he suggested upgraded pads and rotors too.

To really get the best effect, stainless lines, rotors and pads with Motul fluid is the best way to go on the cheap. After that, a BBK is the way to go, of course, much more expensive that route.
