Totally agree. My brother recently picked up the A6000 and it's a solid choice.

About the camera, look for one with a large sensor, a focal length up to at least 100mm, and a wide aperture. This will allow you to isolate your focal plane.

Awesome images! Love the composition, dramatic but real to life lighting and chosen locations. Lighting in all of the one's i looked at are fantastic. I normally don't care for parking garage locations but yours are great. Do you have a light bar or something to light the sides of the car? I saw an even reflection of a long light that looked like a studio light in one of the images.

The Duc with the sparks is awesome. I can see why you only have one image from that shoot displayed. Really great!

Not that i'm some special critic or anything but most people's auto portfolios are mundane, boring or ostentatious. I can't find a negative thing to say about any of your shots that i looked at.

ok, i stalked your IG account.

Keep in mind that with your type of pics, an iPhone probably garners as good or better results than a prosumer camera. People suck at taking pictures with prosumer cameras. They can't figure out how to focus on the person and then compose the image.

Better image quality, yes. But better images, maybe.

Haha isn't my Insta private? What kind of witchcraft did you use to see pics?!?

And I hear ya...I definitely want to keep practicing with pics...but my main issue is, first, quality could be wayy better of pics, second, focusing capabilities on iPhone stinks, and third, iPhone is horrible with facial portraits and exposure...

I'm super picky with pics, and I'm getting a little tired of iPhone's limitations...

There is a reason i don't do social media. It's never fully private.

iPhone quality is pretty good if there is enough light. It sucks in low light. Focusing is at least easy when handing it to someone to take a picture of you. With a shutter release button that needs to be depressed half way, then held to frame the image is like rocket science to most people. When i travel i use my DSLR to take images, but when it comes to asking someone to take pictures of me and the wife, i always give them the iPhone.

Get an iPhone 7. New upgraded camera. Get the 7+ and get 2 upgraded cameras.

Perfect examples right here...all shot on the A6000.

You can't even come CLOSE to capturing the details/lighting/vibrance on an iPhone as you can on a digital camera...

That's what my photos lack (as seen on IG). I have to make crazy looking edits to try to capture detail and vibrance, etc., but then quality suffers...

There no question that there's a TON of room for improvement...

Quality, detail, vibrance, focus...completely lacking
