New recall F20 125i

BMW has contacted me this morning for a recall. It consists in a full software upgrade. This has been decided by BMW so it is free of charge. Did anyone experienced the same recall ?

Thanks

sl91 (F20, 125i, assembled march 2012, 25.000 kms, 0 problems/issues)

Our car was also called in for a software update a couple of months ago. The main issues were the rain sensor and service counters. Noticed a new BMW logo in the center of the dashboard during startup after the new software was installed.

Had the same update including the new dashboard logo.
Does your car feel different after the software update?
Mine feels a little less responsive in Comfort mode from 1000 to 3500rpm
and I can definitely feel the turbo kicking in around 3600RPM.
So I 'think' they remapped and/or tweaked some settings.

I didn't notice any difference, but I am not very sensitive to things like that.

I have phoned to customer service of BMW France this afternoon. In my case, it seems that the recall concerns two issues:

- Reprogramming the car
- Fix a corrosion problem in the coffer

Out of interest what changed with the rain sensors? I only ask because I think mine are a bit slow on the most sensitive setting (M135i)

That was my impression too, and it is more sensitive now. Seems to be slightly more difference between the settings, and it appears to be more consistent.

Hmm. I wonder if it's applicable for the M135i
