Hi, hold down the "lock" button on your key for a few seconds and the mirrors will fold.

Auto fold when simply locking, no it cannot be programmed. The function is for the mirrors to fold when you press for a few seconds the lock button (similar way the windows close). However, when you unlock the car (if they where folded with the key fob) they unfold. You can disable this feature but not change the function of it.

I have the folding mirrors on mine
I was told that the 'hold down' button function was a safety requirement because in the past mirrors have been broken by branches shattering the glass or sqeezed other items between them and the cars body when they folded automatically. It must be the case now, that if you are the one operating the mirrors then BMW cannot be held responsible.

I believe you can code these to fold when you lock the car in the e-sys application.
I haven't tried this yet. Maybe I will try it when the winter goes away

You need E-sys, dataset for F20 and a OBDII cabel to get going.
You can read all about this in the F30 forums. Or send me a PM to get some download links.

Sorry to drag up an old thread - I picked up my car this week and have memory seats - Does that include the auto folding mirrors in Australia?
