125i vs 328i

Anyone know why the 125 sips more fuel than the 328? 6.5 l/100km vs 6.3 l/100km

Also, has anyone driven the 125i that can comment how it feels?

I believe that this is due to hydrodynamics. Hatchback cars produce more air resistance than sedan in general.
