Being from NY it seems everyone is now a met fan

Don't know if it's cause they've sucked for almost 30 years or what but I seem to be the only person rooting against them.

Mostly because to me they always suck and even with a series title always will.

I am not a fan (Braves) by why do they suck if they win a title. They are a young team that pulled some strings to get some needed power and they have a great young rotation

A lot of fairweather fans here in NYC. I see a lot of brand new hats, t-shirts, and jackets all over. I'm a Yankee fan, and rooting for the Royals.

I'm a die hard Yankee fan and in NY I see everyone wearing met jackets, hats sweatshirts, billboards saying lets go mets, signs in office buildings.

It's a little much.

And I say they suck because I don't like them. Like I said even with a title win they will always be the worst team in baseball to me

The same thing happens almost every year when I city of many teams makes a run deep. Lost of front runners jumping on the bandwagon.

Maybe it is just that all the mets fans who have been to ashamed to show their faces for 30 years are coming out of the woodwork.

im a diehard Mets fan unlike yankee fans, i would cheer for NY team that has made it to World Series.

There's something wrong with people that have typically only had a passing interest getting more in to it when it gets to the big stage? I have no issue with this. Bring the love.

There's nothing that "sucks" about this team. No controversy, only a feel good story. That said, I get it, I loathe the pinstripes. I also loathe the 30 years of snack talking. Sit down and let us have the 15 minutes we've earned, because when you guys are there, you'll be right back to hating on the mets again.

/lifelong mets fan, was at 2 of the playoff games, going to the series game on Friday. Let's go Mets!
Also a mets fan that was at playwright in NYC until 1am, and has no voice today from screaming. Sigh. Man, that royals bullpen is nasty.

I've been a Yankee fan since 1991, the days of Hensley 'Bam Bam' Muelens, Stump Merrill and Steve Howe. Those early 90's teams were horrible but I never crapped on the Mets, except for interleague play/2000 WS. Yankees are in a rebuilding mode and the Mets have the pitching to carry them for years to come. Now most Yankee fans don't give two shits about the Mets but as a born and raised NYer, I'll cheer for them.
