Ordered my 125i last month and BMW rang me back and told me my car would include the new options that now come standard. Damn lucky I didn't miss out!

Looks like mine is part of a July build.

Looking at recent posts it seems anyone that ordered a 125i has managed to get a good deal out of the July changes whilst if you ordered anything else you are worse off unless you can re-negotiate with the dealer.

Ours on the ship and due here in early Aug - too late for us to do anything about it even if there were things we could do. M performance stuff is not something which interests us but certainly worth thinking about if you are wanting some goodies

Hi All

First post here,

I'm a Sydneysider that jumped all over this price adjustment.

Back in March I ordered the A200 fully decked out. I wanted the A250 but didn't want the sports suspension and the red highlights everywhere and i'm a fan of light coloured interior. Anyway the A200 came out to 53k under the corporate program. I wasn't fully happy with this car because of the suspension tune, engine power and the FWD... But at that price it had to do.

I requested the MY14 build, it was due to be built in June. June came along and they were still not able to confirm me a build date. I sent them a deadline of 20th of June to give me a date. Still no date but I see the caradvice article come out.

I cancelled my order, full refund of deposit (because they agreed that they would give me a build date by the 20th.) And now i've ordered a car i'm extremely happy with.

125i
Solid White
Sunroof
Adaptive suspension
Brush Alu trim Black accent
Comfort Pack
Prem Multimedia pack
Visibility Pack
Grey leather with black stitching
Black mirror caps
Deletion of red stitching on the wheel
deletion of sports badge
Corporate program
Flat 60k

Can't believe for 7k more than the merc I get rwd, much more power, adaptive suspension and keyless entry (merc has no option for this)

Anyway moving from my current car the 370z, this car was the perfect compromise of driveability that I wanted and the practicality my wife demanded.

Good choice and nice specs, the 125i is definitely a better car comparing to the A250 anyway imo.

However, may I ask which 'line' did you pick for you 125i? M-Sport?

Cheers,

Jeff

Nah I went for the manual transmission. Personal preference . Damn I can't wait for my car to get here. They just e-mailed me this morning saying it will be here at the end of September/early October. Same for you?

It's an option in sports line which is standard for the 125i now

Slightly annoyed here - I think I'd be $4K better off at RRP now (and have Pro Nav) than the deal with discount I got on mine.

Still, the plan is to keep it at least 4 years by which time who knows what anything will be worth. I can only see manuals getting rarer.

reportedly BMW australia will release next week the July pricing adjustments for the pre-july build cars.
negotiate hard people... you should be getting ~$7500 price reduction BEFORE you pay the invoice & take delivery.

Great. Can't wait to see pics.
About to order mine but waiting for the price revision next week.
Was all the "MP" accessories supplied by your dealership?

Are these part of an M-Pack?

I got a pretty good deal on the 125i and have spoken to dealer and am picking up this week - nothing they will offer as I got about 14K discount, under the new pricing I am getting a 11K discount - i think if you got a crummy deal or your car is still not built, you will have a much better chance of renegotiation

That's a very good deal but how do you get a $14k discount? Was that for a car that was in stock or for a new order? Or, have I misread the thread?

Not sure how that compares to the full retail but my m135i came down from $89k to $75k & I've still been told that they'll still bring it down by around $7500 to match the same equivalent pricing on the new build spec.

I'd be looking in the ~$68k now for same spec as I got if I ordered new but Dec delivery.

Any compensation for those who've already bought then?

I can't see how BMW Aust would be stripping those sort of dollars off brand new cars. There may well be some movement of around 7k or so but not the sort of order of magnitude that we're seeing here - at least I can't see that happening here. If someone is prepared to post their order sheet here to show what they got and the discount they got then fine, might help the rest of us but I went through the review process on Sat comparing dollar for dollar and posted an earlier thread of the results; there's not much in it. Good luck to those who can get massive discounts on a brand new, made to order car, if you can get it.

Got no issues in placing some details up & helping others. ExGST & LCT I had ~$9500 off before starting to renegotiate once the difference came out
PM me your specs & ill send you back a price.
