Do you got the 116d with a 1.6l engine or with the down tuned 2.0l engine? |

- This is an insane improvement! How in earth good this be save for the car? 2.6 seconds faster from 0-100km/h, and lets not forget to mansion the 100-200km/h improvement of nearly 18 seconds or something like that. |

The 116i autobox is tuned! It's pretty insane. The guys of Br-performance did a pretty amazing job. It's a complete diverent car. Didn't do any measurements or things like that. On 98 it has 224hp (engine). With 95 6% less.
The exhaust is really loud above 4000rpm, which makes you feel like you are in a tuned car. The automatic is way more refined with the higher torque. On the highway the cars feel very relaxed, likes it can handle anything up a head. 0-100km/h is insane, especially on wintertyres ;-). I'd kept a close look to my cool water temperature and oil temperature: It isn't diverent than before the tuning. |

Yesterday I did a 0-100km/h in 6.37 seconds on wet surface on GPS. I will post some video's in the future. Let's hope i'll meet a Golf/Polo GTI, GTE soon to let you know, if the Bimmer can handle them :-).

Its a great upgrade! I'm running narrow winter tyres at the moment. I'm sure the times will improve with beter traction. The 0 to 100km/h timing is done on 95 fuel, do you drive on 95 or 98?

Not necessarily. My old E30 318iS did 0-100 in 8 seconds flat with winter tyres, and 9 seconds flat with summer tyres. I guess cold air and lighter wheels with less intertia helps, but winter tyres have good traction when spinning. That enabled me to do a very aggressive start with lots of wheel spin, and keeping the RPM high all the way to 100. The summer tyres lost traction when spinning, and made the engine bog down when they were not spinning.
