Kavalan is way overrated IMO. Went to their factory in Taiwan when they started winning some awards few years back. Unimpressive.

Currently sipping Aberlour 16 and it is quite nice. Switching between straight up and on rock depending on mood.

So we were at Trader Joe's in Indianapolis today. I was looking around for their whiskey when I remembered TJ's only sells wine and beer in IN. I said something to one of the staff and he told me that a grocery store in Indiana cannot sell hard liquor unless there is also a pharmacy in the store. Now *that* is one of the stupidest laws I've ever heard of. Then he said, "You know how you see liquor at Walgreen's and CVS..." And I remembered that the Walgreen's and CVS stores in IL also sell hard liquor. But so do supermarkets with no pharmacies, so I guess the pharmacy rule here is different.
