BT Problems w. Android 4.2.2 (Nexus 4)

I have extended Bluetooth (6NL). I experience that when I pair my phone with the car it doesn't remember it. The list with paired phones is empty. I can't initiate a call from iDrive but when I use the phone the call is held in the car's speakers as it should. And also incoming calls works fine, I can answer the call from iDrive and I get the name and number on the screen.

So the problem is when I want to place a call from iDrive it says that there are no phones connected and it wants to connect a new one. If I do that it will be forgotten again shortly.

Music streaming works fine, except that there are no song titles on the screen.

I'v updated the multimedia interface and phone interface with update file from BMW's webpage.

Anyone else? Ideas?

I use the nexus 4 too

Try Settings > Bluetooth > "..." at bottom right > "Visibility Timeout" > "Never"

See if that works!

Basic Bluetooth and professional non-nav, but with BMW live.

Mine works for calls and data and auto connects and stays connected.

What software version are you running? Have you checked for updates on the BMW website?

Yepp, me too. But those are the phones that they guarantee full support with. And it makes it hard for me to complain about my issue since Nexus 4 isn't supported.

The Nexus 4 worked in my MINI which didn't have "6NL Mobile phone preparation Bluetooth connectivity with USB audio interface including BMW Assist" like my F20 does, my MINI had "6NH USB audio interface for media player support".

my nexus 4 works fine with my basic bluetooth so maybe it's a 6NL issue?

Have you checked if you have the last BT firmware in your car?
