Tuning 116i - does it void warranty?

I'm thinking about getting rid of my E91 next year and getting an F20. I've heard that the N13 is quite a capable little engine and easily gets over 200hp with a stage 1. I wonder if this will ruin any warranty that's left on the car? I want to do the tuning at a small independent local tuning company where I've tuned a few of my previous, older cars.

Thanks!

I think it depends on what happens with your car. If the front suspension fails, warranty will cover it. If your tuned engine blows up, warranty will not cover it. The exception is if you get an expensive tune from a company that takes over the engine warranty.

The performance company I’m familiar with offers an engine warranty for cars that are up to 36 months old or 95 000km. So after next year, I guess the 2015 car wouldn’t be covered by any engine warranty?.. That’s what I call gambling.
