Is it possible to add BMW APPS to your existing vehicle after the fact? I don't believe my F80 has Bmw apps. If so this would be cool

So I had no idea you could use the GoPro app through the iDrive system, will be really cool to see it all integrated together. I tested it out this morning. It has a really bad delay and it pull about 1-2 FPS but still really cool. My camera is inside the car but for an external camera to turn it on and off would be awesome.

Yes using the GoPro app, the idea of integrating into the car is cool though.

Interesting collaboration, it's just more $hit to buy. I'd rather use what I already carry with me, my iPhone.

A friend tried a iPhone App called 'Track Day Genius' way better interface and features than Harry's laptimer and the M Laptimer app (which doesn't work with my 335i)

I can't afford to upgrade to a new BMW's just to use a £rickin App,

Here's Video export from the TDG app,he drives a Modified M135i, video wobble is due to the crap suction mount, but the app is mega

I wonder if the screen will auto-arrange the layout in landscape orientation? It would make it more friendly to post on youtube or view on a TV or computer.

Can any existing M-Laptimer users comment on what happens to the screen arrangement when you turn your i-phone in landscape orientation? I don't have any apple products unfortunately, this may be the point where I would consider buying an i-pad or i-touch if it looks good. Another thing I noticed is the old steering wheel they are using....little outdated looking? The new ///M wheel would look so much nicer.

Last year I drove my M235i on the Spa Francorchamps racetrack (Belgium).

I had BMW Apps, a Go Pro Hero 3+ and an iPhone 6.

After installing the "BMW Connected" app on my iPhone I was able to use the M lap timer.

It's rather basic but quite "cool". During your first lap, it draws the racetrak on the iDrive screen !
It shows you your current time and your best lap.
I had more details on the iPhone (BMW M Laptimer app).

I could also use the GoPro connected to the iDrive. It's was quite slow and I wasn't able to use the M laptimer at the same time.

Problem solved now

hoo wait a minute, I traded my M235i for a BMW 1M, so I don't have BMW apps anymore....
