Hi,
Recently bought a bmw f20 19 plate M sport Shadow edition however I am disappointed to find the Daytime running light on the left side not work and i’m presented with the following error message above. I also want to point out that the night time lights/ dipped headlights work fine which rules out the possibility of the entire unit being broken. Really need help as this is my first bmw and I find myself very lost.

I have the same problem on my F20 118i from 2011 december.
Mine has a bit differrent behaviour.
When i'm driving,and i'm slowing down by braking,and i turn the signal,i got this error with side/daytime light fault,and the angel eyes turns off.
I suspected the left headlight TMS module,so i swapped it with the one from right headlight.
I still got the same error but now the light that turns off is the right one,so my TMS module is almost dead.
I said "almost" because if i stop the car,turn off ingition for a few seconds,or even lock the car,and then start the car again,the error dissappears and both angel eyes are working....until i'm slowing down next time and i turn on the signal on the side where the bad module is located.
So i ordered an aftermarket module...installed it...the "side/daytime..." Error dissappeared,but when i turn on the xenons,i got a differrent error, like "vertical aim headlight error" or something like that.
I returned the module to the shop,got my money back,put my old module back in the headlight and i'm using the car with this error that appears randomly....still don't know what to do😂
I think it's necessary to code the new module...i'm not sure. I have ISTA, E-Sys,an ENET cable...but i don't have enough spare time to read about it.
Did you solve the problem in yours?
And for the others...can anyone give me some advice about my problem?
