Did you tune yours 125i?
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I hope this will be a big help for the future tuners to make their mind. Thanks,

I am currently waiting till someone with the M Performance Power Kit has done a dyno-run to see if the difference is bigger than on paper or not. If not, I will wait till my warranty runs out and then have it chipped (if they finally find a way around the encryption, I will never install a piggybag-tuning)

I’ve send an email to AC Shnitzer, asking for a chip to our engines, here is what they said:
“First we would like to thank you very much for your inquiry and your interest in AC Schnitzer`s range of products. Unfortunately is it not possible now to offer a performance kit for the 125i because we don`t have a 125i test car to test the performance kit on the road/ track. In Germany is this engine combination really rare and your inquiry is the first for this performance kit. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact me. Best regards” So, I guess we are f*cked… and stuck with piggybag-tuning

What's wrong with a piggy-back solution? At least they're easy (for the most part) to remove. The issue with flash tuning is the increasing complexity of factory encryption, which isn't an issue for piggybacks. Seemed to be a bit cheaper, too, and in some cases they offer additional benefits, such as more data via the OBD port
