Hi Guys,

Has anyone else in Australia ordered one of the M140i Performance Edition cars? Mine has been stuck at PrixCar for 3 weeks now waiting on parts to arrive from Germany and I still have no ETA on delivery .

Just thought I'd see if anyone else was in a similar boat to me, or if you've had one delivered.

Who installs the performance parts?

Mine is just landing in Brisbane today, then has to come over to Perth.

Also having a bit of a disagreement with the dealer about the wheels.
He is saying it will cost me to keep both sets which contradicts what I read here

We recognise that a lot of people that will buy this car probably do get an opportunity to put it on a track and we all know that once you do get on the track you end to eat up your tyres.
Because we fit the unique equipment to this car in Australia those 18-inch wheels were being taken off to fit the 19s so we said let’s give them to the customer.

Oh nice, mine is Estoril Blue and manual too. I haven't been told anything about the standard wheels, I may ask about them and see what they say! And all the parts are being fitted by PrixCar at the port. They have a supply issue with some parts (they won't tell me which ones) and so my car has been sitting at the port for 4 weeks now, and they can't tell me when to expect it

Yeah it would be good if you ask them and get back to me.
My expectation is that we should get both sets.

I spoke with the dealer this morning and he told me he would look into it, but certainly didn't say anything about having to pay for them. Fingers crossed it's all ok.

Hi Guys, yes I'm also in the same situation as my car is coming from Brisbane to Sydney. The car has been discharged and is awaiting for the PE parts to be installed at Prixcar since Mar 19. ���� I was told this would be done as a group during mid April then transported.... Oh, regarding the spare tyre and rims you should be given the 18" but that may be at the discretion of the Dealership.

Just spoke to the Dealership and they advised the part which is backordered is the 19" inch wheels for the PE vehicle. Still no timing on availability.....

My dealer told me that BMW is aiming to release them by the end of this month, so fingers crossed I can get delivery early May

I'd hope that is just because of the transport after being fitted Nugget? Hopefully not too long either way.

I emailed my dealership this morning (who originally advised me 'no' to the wheels) and linked them to the Wheels article. Hopefully they turn it around for me and include them.

I'm conscious that for various reasons that I did get a very good price, that this is probably part of the reason they will not include for me. See how we go, can't hurt to ask!

Yeah probably because it then has to come over to Perth, and I think he was hedging his bets.
I will be pretty disappointed if they don't end up including the second set.
I do prefer the look of the 18s and they come with better tyres.

wdong, unfortunately I can't offer any help in regards to pricing sorry as mine was a different situation to a standard retail purchase.

Definitely keen to see how much people are getting them for though if anyone else can shed some light?

In regards to pricing I'm not the best at buying cars.

Did price up getting a standard one and adding the LSD (~$5500) and it wasn't that much different.

Hi Wdong, regarding pricing see if you qualify for Corporate Advantage if you work for a company listed on BMW's Corporate database. If "yes" depending if you are Gold (4yrs free servicing/60KM) or Platinum (5yrs free servicing/80KM) plus a reduction in dealer delivery charges. If "no" then it's really depends how hard you negotiate as if you have a vehicle to trade then you may improve your changeover. Given these are now limited as I have been told there are only 13 PE vehicles available in Australia from the original 60 allocated then dealerships won't be discounting much...

I got the corporate deal based on my wifes workplace. 4 years servicing and the standard discount is 3%, you can try and bargain for more but my dealership wasn't very keen to move on the performance edition. Especially as they had to go find one for me from a dealership over east.

Update from me: Have been told revised delivery for a Melbourne based dealership is now mid-May Tomorrow never comes!!

I was told my car will arrive into Sydney from Brisbane Prixcar end of next week then add 5 workdays for pre delivery, tint and permaguard paint protection and interior scotch guard. - Fingers-crossed delivery on May 12
