The books are amazing - long winded, but amazingly written and descriptive. HBO does the books justice, but at the pace he writes I'm afraid George will not live to write the ending...

A bit slow IMHO, but it's the season opener and some dust was needed to be cleared. The preview for next week seems like it has more potential.

Just finished watching and I agree with this. It is a bit slow but Game of Thrones likes to set things up for upcoming events. I feel like it's going to be a very good season.

Great point! And I believe it's safe to say that it is only fire.

Also I would like to point out that every episode simply can not have epic battle scenes. But I do appreciate this 1 hour premiere touching on every single aspect of the entire show (which are tons!) except Araya who is now in Braavos. Next episode will show her arriving at the House of Black.

Another thing that I've read is that this season promises to be the most EPIC yet:

I cheated and finished up episode 3 last night. It's been great so far. Also watching Outlander. Great show if anyone hasn't seen it yet.

Few friends went up to episode 4.. I'm going to try and not watch them before they air.

I finished all 4 seasons in 5 consecutive days, it's hard watching 1 a week.

IF I let the wife/sister-in-law know they are available on-line, I won't get dinner each Sunday night before the GoT party. When the pair get together, the Mexican is plentiful. We had camaronés diablo fajitas, rice/beans, with queso fresco and guac last Sunday.
