2014 F20 - does it have BT audio?
Hello everyone,
I'm about to buy a beautiful used 2014 F20 118d. This is her VIN: [redacted] It has Business Nav (606) with hands-free (6NH) and it has been produced in 2014-05-15. Will you help me understand wether I can stream music via bluetooth and if the iDrive is gonna be the version 4.2 (the one with the new interface)? Thanks in advance! Do you guys think tune2air WMA3000B w/ Spotify is a viable option to achieve hassle-less streaming? |

Here are your car's Combox options: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=84_0883 . It looks like (from your VIN) you have a "Combox for Telematics", not a "Combox Media". Yet, if you decline losing hope: http://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho...5#post14282675 http://bmwspecialistreading.co.uk/bm...etooth-coding/ http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...73#post8843373 It does not always work though: http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...95#post9169095 Just for example, I'm not into that myself. http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...96#post8020396 For E-Sys, the cable, etc. |

I had an email exchange with bimmertech in order to understand if I could buy their EBT activation and also to understand wether it's possible at all with my car and they said yes, they're sure it's doable, with the VIN only as reference. After reading what you wrote I'm not so sure anymore though. Anyway according to bimmertech as long as you have: Code:
a) 6AC, 6AE, 6NH (all three) or b) 6NH and 609 (both) I guess I'll just try myself when the car arrives and shouldn't it work I can always fall back to using a tune2air WMA3000B, right? I'm still not sure it will work with car's USB configuration. |

I didn't. I found and provided the links FWIW. Of the 5 references of those, three appear to claim it's possible. You've added another one. 4 against two (and two of those 4 are from service suppliers that should either cheat blindly - "We promise anything, give us the money!" or know from practice what they claim, I guess).

Just wanted to let everyone know that I succeeded in coding 6NL to my car
I used 6NL because I had Combox for Telematics and I simply coded HU_CHAMP2 and CMB_MEDIA. Thanks again for your help. |
