It's worth noting my steering rack is due to be replaced soon because of a knock and increased travel on the front-right wheel. These issues could be because of that... so I'll reserve judgement till then.
I think that situation with bumps mid corner is when the F20 M Sport is at its best. The suspension is rather soft, so it is able to deal with bumps without going through the balance changes you get with stiffer setups. I have the most basic steering rack.

Hmmm I have the Variable Sport Steering... and a busted Steering Rack. Hopefully it feels much different after it's replaced.

I'll let you know once I take delivery - might give you an idea how long it takes from the dock to the dealer. The Tomar arrived in Melbourne on Friday 15th March at around midday. I'm hoping for delivery later this week.
Sooooo....any word on delivery, yet?

Not sure about cozza... but mine arrived at the dealer yesterday. I'm going in to finalise financing today. Take delivery on Thursday... just in time for the weekend.

Your post prompted me to call my dealer again. He said he received email confirmation about half an hour ago to say that they'd have the car ready for delivery on Saturday morning. Only a few sleeps to go!

Make sure you post pics of yours ASAP!

Look forward to the review.

Bib Stillwell Prahran. The review may come a week or so after I've had the car - might find it difficult to get away from for a while

Excellent. I'll no doubt see it parked in Chapel Street then. I'll be sure to leave hand and nose prints on the passenger window.

Finalised my finance today. (Giving the BMW lifecycle program a crack to see how it goes) Saw my beautiful beast sitting in the yard. Delivery confirmed for Thursday. Will post some pics before the weekend.

My car is at the dealer, has been detailed, and is getting tinted. I'll pick up after Easter, as I'm travelling.

got my rego off the dealer so all insured now ready for tomorrow!
i am working so they are bringing it to me!

i really want to drive it like i stole it from the first minute but i know you have to to take it easy on the engine and brakes

what is the consensus on running-in process? i think the hand book say to keep it under 4500rpm for 2000kms but that sounds like ages!

You are also supposed to avoid full throttle, which is even harder. But I guess an M135i on half throttle under 4500 RPM is still a very quick car. 2000 km can be done in a weekend.

I have owned many cars and don't believe in running in procedures. Key is to ensure the engine is properly warmed up, then go for it. Done this on everything from a non sporty 740i to a much sportier GT3 and everything in between. Never failed me.

And the obvious response is that you've always sold them before their first service. So any consequences have been someone else's problem.

That said, I tend to agree with you. Do they run in demonstrators?

Good work ttimbo!

Out of curiosity (if you don't mind!) what are you paying for the window tint? I agreed to pay $860 for the dealer to fit the darkest Cancer Council tint. Feels like an huge amount to pay to me, but didn't want the hassle of taking it elsewhere..
